Technical SEO, Google Analytics, Google Ads & structured data

Search visibility and useful measurement depend partly on how a website is built. Content structure, metadata, page behavior, and event definitions connect engineering decisions to the work of marketing teams.

The business context

Make the website understandable and measurable.

A useful implementation begins with clear questions: what should visitors find, what action matters, and what evidence would show that action occurred? I connect those questions to page structure and implementation without treating a tracking tag or SEO plugin as the whole solution.

The layers of the stack

The tools and how I use them.

SEODiscoverability and structure

Technical SEO

Technical SEO includes how pages can be discovered, crawled, and understood. Titles, canonical URLs, links, and accessible content are part of that foundation. I favor useful pages with distinct purpose and clear navigation; publishing more pages alone does not establish search value.

Google AnalyticsBehavior measurement

Google Analytics

Google Analytics uses events to describe interactions. Event names and parameters should reflect a defined action, and duplicate firing or missing events can distort interpretation. Reporting needs to be considered alongside consent choices, configuration, and the behavior actually observed.

Google AdsCampaign and website alignment

Google Ads

Google Ads connects campaigns with destinations and conversion measurement. The website side includes relevant landing content, working forms, and clearly defined conversion actions. A click or a form-button press should not automatically be treated as a completed business outcome.

Yoast SEOWordPress publishing support

Yoast SEO

Yoast provides WordPress SEO controls and structured-data output. Its settings should be reviewed alongside theme behavior and other plugins to avoid conflicting metadata or markup. Editorial quality and the technical implementation still need attention beyond plugin configuration.

JSON-LD / Schema.orgStructured descriptions

JSON-LD / Schema.org

JSON-LD can describe page entities using Schema.org vocabulary. The markup should agree with visible content and the organization or item being described. Valid markup helps communicate meaning but does not guarantee a particular search appearance or ranking.

My approach

Define the question before collecting the event.

I define the visitor action being measured, then check the relevant page metadata and events. An attempted submission, a successful inquiry, and a later sale need separate definitions.
