Project overview.

My work for Stack's Bowers spans both enterprise application engineering and the public-facing web experience. It includes ASP.NET MVC and Razor interfaces, C# backend work, marketplace and invoicing workflows, custom WordPress and PHP development, and integrations supporting customer interactions.

A substantial part of my WordPress work involved building sophisticated, enterprise-level custom plugins. These plugins connected the website to backend business services through APIs, extending WordPress beyond publishing into business application functionality.

The breadth matters: an auction and marketplace business depends on more than a public website. Internal tools, structured data, customer preferences, and transactional communications all require careful implementation. My contribution has involved working across those boundaries while respecting existing business rules and the surrounding platform.

Evolving interconnected systems with care.

Changes to marketplace listings, invoicing, and payment-related interfaces can involve several application layers. A visible field or action may depend on validation, backend models, persistence, and downstream integrations. Understanding that flow is essential to making a change that fits the existing system.

Public-facing work adds another set of concerns: maintainable WordPress templates, responsive interactions, email preferences, and structured information for search engines. These are complementary engineering responsibilities, each with its own data contracts and ways to verify behavior.

My contribution.

Enterprise-level custom WordPress plugins

Built complex custom WordPress plugins with API connections to backend business services. This work combined PHP plugin development with systems integration, connecting website functionality to the business applications behind it.

Wordfence security configuration

Used and configured Wordfence as part of supporting the WordPress environment at Stack’s Bowers Galleries. This adds hands-on WordPress security configuration to the application development and website maintenance responsibilities.

Enterprise application and workflow development

Worked on ASP.NET MVC, Razor, and Kendo UI interfaces supporting marketplace listings, invoicing, and payment-related workflows, alongside C# backend and API work. Contributions included tracing requirements through models, callers, and stored data, clarifying validation behavior, and preparing changes for review and QA.

WordPress and PHP as core application work

Developed and maintained customer-facing functionality using WordPress, custom PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery/AJAX. Work included email-preference interactions and Want List features, with attention to request validation, error handling, and useful empty states. Coin Resource Center work also covered templates and CSS for the content experience.

Customer communications and integration boundaries

Worked on Mailchimp-related email preferences and PHP notification templates for Want List communications. Email template validation included local mail tooling and automated checks. Separate SendGrid work examined the distinction between SMTP delivery and a Dynamic Template API migration, including the implications for data and attachments.

Structured content and practical verification

Implemented JSON-LD structured data with Schema.org and Yoast in the WordPress environment. Across application and website work, responsibilities included database troubleshooting, code-review follow-up, automated and manual checks, and DEV/QA preparation. Verification was selected for the behavior being changed, from PHP templates to API and database interactions.
